Gleeds Energy is continuing its international expansion and strengthening our presence across the Nordic region. As part of a major new programme in northern Sweden, we are supporting the delivery of one of Europe’s most significant low carbon industrial developments, a multi‑billion‑euro initiative at the forefront of Europe’s transition to green manufacturing. To support this transformative programme, we are growing our commercial function in Sweden and are seeking talented Commercial Managers to provide cost assurance, commercial governance, and contract management support across several major capital workstreams. This is a full‑time, site‑based role in Boden or Luleå, with Gleeds covering all reasonable relocation expenses to ensure a smooth and fully supported move to Sweden.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and challenging cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
  • Support the validation of contractor cost submissions and ensure accurate reporting
  • Implement and maintain cost‑control processes aligned with project baselines
  • Contribute to change management, ensuring variations are assessed, documented, and justified
  • Support contract administration across major project packages
  • Contribute to procurement activities, tender assessments, and commercial negotiations
  • Monitor contractor performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual requirements
  • Work with senior client representatives, funders, suppliers, and project partners
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in commercial or cost management on major industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Background working on large programmes or complex capital delivery environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and contract management skills
  • Ability to relocate to Sweden (relocation packages available for individuals or families)
