The Energy team at Gleeds is expanding and we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Managing Quantity Surveyor/Executive Cost Manager to join our team in Warrington. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a demonstrable background supporting critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver major projects in line with operational and management frameworks.
- Work closely within the nuclear commercial team and provide contract management to high value contracts.
- Operate NEC and other forms of contract and ensure compliance with contract processes and timelines.
- Ensure compliance, quality, cost and schedule performance across all assigned projects or control accounts.
- Manage contract and supplier engagement alongside the client and key stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across stakeholders regarding budgets, risks, and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate financial reporting, forecasting and cash flow analysis for client reporting.
- Owning budget, schedules and scope, ensuring efficient and cost effective delivery.
- Influencing strategy within your area and shaping project delivery approaches.
- Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within the Nuclear / Civil Engineering / Engineering (including service contracting) sectors.
- Advanced experience with standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite and commercial processes.
- Ideally HNC, HND or Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management / Construction Law or similar discipline; applicants with an alternative background may be considered if there is significant on‑the‑job experience.
- Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already obtained.
