We are seeking a Bid Manager to join our Global Pursuits Team, offering excellent opportunities for career development and growth. This is a global role (including the UK), focused on supporting our largest opportunities, with flexible working arrangements available. The Global Pursuits Team delivers world‑class bid support on major pursuits worldwide, including in the UK.

Working collaboratively with regional teams across the globe, we focus on strategic client positioning, target growth sectors, our top 10 Key Client Accounts, and our Target Growth Accounts. Our Purpose is to help deliver Gleeds’ business plan by securing our most significant strategic opportunities, wherever they are in the world.

As Bid Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing our most high‑profile and complex bids across the full end‑to‑end process, supporting all aspects of the Global Pursuit.
  • Leading the Bid Process (GPBP), from pre‑bid preparation and strategic positioning through to live bid phases and post‑tender interviews.
  • Ensuring technical teams are fully equipped to respond effectively to client objectives and secure work through a best‑practice bidding approach.
  • Overseeing the supervision and development of team members, while promoting and embedding best practice within the Global Pursuits Team.

The Global Pursuit Team focuses on Gleeds’ Major bidding opportunities anywhere in the globe. Our objectives include:

  • Mission: The go to ‘centre of excellence’ for major bid opportunities aligned to key sectors and accounts.
  • What we do: Provide the global and UK business with support from world‑class bid professionals who know what it takes to win strategic pursuits.
  • Purpose: Help deliver Gleeds’ business plan by securing our most significant strategic opportunities, wherever they are in the world.
  • Remit: UK and Global bids with a feel value ranging from ÂŁ500k to ÂŁ10m+; Strategically important opportunities in target growth sectors; Global and multi‑regional pursuits; Top 10 KAM Accounts; Target Growth Accounts; Strategic client positioning and major opportunities.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • An experienced Bid Manager with a strong understanding of best practice, an excellent command of written communication, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven experience in managing large, complex, and successful bids, with a positive, “can‑do” attitude that aligns well with a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to develop effective win strategies and comprehensive bid plans, while bringing fresh ideas, innovation, and creative thinking to the team.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the department, consistently demonstrating high standards of professionalism and behaviour.
  • Skilled in building strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders involved in the bid process to deliver high‑quality submissions.
  • Previous line management experience is desirable.

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (desirable);
