About this opportunity
To support the delivery of effective corporate governance and company secretarial services across the Gleeds group. The role will assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, maintaining company records, and contributing to the implementation of good governance practices across the business.
This role is ideal for a part-qualified or newly qualified governance professional working towards, or recently awarded, Chartered Governance Professional status with The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (formerly ICSA).
It offers an excellent opportunity to build your experience and progress towards a future career as a Company Secretary, Governance Manager or Deputy Company Secretary within a global professional services organisation.
Responsibilities
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Support the governance framework across UK and international entities.
- Maintain statutory registers, company records and governance databases.
- Prepare regulatory filings, monitor deadlines and support annual compliance.
- Assist with governance reporting, audits and Board activities.
Corporate Transactions & Entity Management
- Support incorporations, dissolutions, restructurings and subsidiary management.
- Maintain corporate structure charts and governance documentation.
- Coordinate execution and signing of corporate documents.
Insurance & Other Matters
- Support insurance renewals and related compliance requirements.
- Manage UK driver compliance, property rates, ICO registrations, RICS renewals and Trade Mark renewals.
- Support office leases, contracts, warranties and related administration.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with directors, senior leaders, advisers and regulatory bodies.
- Provide governance support and guidance to stakeholders.
- Support governance training, annual calendars and meeting programmes.

Who weβre looking for;
Essential
- Part-qualified or newly qualified Chartered Governance Professional (CGP) through The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland (formerly ICSA).
- Understanding of UK company law and corporate governance principles.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience in a company secretarial, governance, legal or compliance environment.
- Experience supporting Boards or Board committees.
- Experience using governance or entity management software.
- Knowledge of international corporate governance requirements.
- Experience within a professional services, consultancy or global corporate environment
