We are seeking an experienced Information Manager to support and lead Information Management and BIM services across our Midlands region, based from either our Nottingham or Birmingham office. In this role, you will act as the Appointing Party's Information Manager, delivering high‑quality Information Management and BIM services in accordance with ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework. You will be responsible for ensuring effective information management processes are embedded throughout project delivery, supporting clients in achieving best practice and compliance.

Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will play a key client‑facing role, building and maintaining strong relationships across a portfolio of accounts. You will identify opportunities for growth within existing client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives, and support bid and proposal activities across the Business Unit. This is not a purely technical IM role. The successful candidate will combine ISO 19650 expertise with the relationship skills to grow client accounts — bringing in wider Gleeds capabilities (building surveying condition surveys, FM advisory, Reality Capture / Scan to BIM) where they add value. They will be a visible presence with clients, a contributor to bids, and someone who helps build the IM BU's reputation and pipeline as the team scales towards its 2027 growth targets.

Please note: This role is subject to security clearance requirements. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the level of security clearance required for the position. Eligibility is determined in accordance with UK Government security vetting criteria.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Appointing Party's IM role in compliance with the ISO 19650 suite of standards and the UK BIM Framework.
  • Develop and manage Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), Information Delivery Plans (IDP), Asset Information Requirements (AIR), and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Configure, manage, and provide training on Common Data Environments (SharePoint, ACC, Aconex, Asite, Dalux, 4Projects, etc.).
  • Undertake compliance audits, quality assurance, and data verification/validation checks (including BS EN 17412-1).
  • Undertake clash detection and federated model review; chair or support coordination workshops.
  • Review COBie outputs, model data, responsibility matrices, risk registers, and mobilisation plans.
  • Support digital handover and the transition to an Asset Information Model (AIM).
  • Advise clients on future model uses, soft landings, and the Golden Thread of Information (Building Safety Act compliance).
  • Draw on wider Gleeds capabilities — including Building Surveying, Facilities Management advisory, and Reality Capture / Scan to BIM — to provide clients with a more integrated service offering.
Account / Framework Management
  • Act as Account or Framework Lead for assigned clients, developing customised processes that align with framework, client, and programme needs.
  • Develop trusted relationships with client teams, understanding their objectives and proactively identifying service development opportunities.
  • Brief the BU Lead on account health, risks, and pipeline opportunities.
  • Ensure fees are correctly recorded in FeeMan and flag commercial risks early.
Business Development and Bids
  • Contribute to bid and proposal activity — writing, reviewing, and quality‑assuring bid content.
  • Provide account‑specific intelligence and client insight to support pursuit strategies.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date CVs, case studies, and credentials for bid library use.
  • Represent Gleeds at client events, industry forums, and networking opportunities.
  • Support the BU's social media presence and external profile where appropriate.
Managing for Performance
  • Provide line management to junior and graduate team members, supporting their development, wellbeing, and performance.
  • Plan and manage time across concurrent projects, escalating programme or scope risks promptly.
  • Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members joining the BU.
Benefits
  • Opportunities to develop and grow your career.
  • A contributory pension scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Global Travel Scholarship Programme.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
Who we’re looking forExperience, Knowledge and Key Skills
  • Proficient in Revit, Solibri, Navisworks, and BIM Interoperability Tools (COBie Manager, Classification Manager, Model Checker).
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 suite, BS EN 17412-1, UK BIM Framework, and the Construction Playbook.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and Power BI dashboarding is advantageous.
  • Software‑agnostic approach to CDE configuration and management.
  • Understanding of fee management, scope control, and commercial risk.
  • Ability to identify and develop opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Clear, confident communicator with clients, supply chain, and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to translate complex IM requirements into practical, accessible guidance for project teams.
