We are searching for a Credit Controller to join our Bristol based UK accounts team. This is an opportunity to join an established and experienced team of accounts professionals as additional support in line with our consistent UK business growth.
Reporting into our UK Credit Control & Sales Ledger Manager, you will play a key role in a team integral to our finance function and wider business. We are looking for an engaging and assertive accounts professional seeking to enhance their credit control experience and gain exposure to a global organisation. You will be joining a collaborative and delivery focused team of credit control and sales ledger professionals, working together to enhance cashflow, maintain and develop key client account relationships, and provide consistent, efficient service.
As Credit Controller your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring timely payment in line with agreed terms.
- Investigating and resolving internal and external invoice queries.
- Analysing payment history and reconciling client accounts.
- Negotiating payment plans where appropriate.
- Preparing and issuing client statements and reminder letters.
- Ensuring departmental policies and procedures are followed to maximise cash flow.
- Providing regular reports to the UK Credit Control and Sales Ledger Manager, including escalation of issues where required.
- Producing ad hoc reports as requested by management.
- Assisting with ad hoc team projects.
- Liaising with colleagues across the business to ensure prompt resolution of queries or disputes, via phone, Teams meetings, and office visits.
- Supporting with general office duties as required.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills:
- Flexibility to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Experience and ability to work to reporting timetables.
- Detail oriented approach with sound judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literacy and confidence learning bespoke systems.
- Sound practical MS Excel and Office 365 experience.
No professional qualifications required. Experience in a credit control, sales ledger or accounts role is essential.
