Duties
Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden frameworks, fixtures, and fittings according to project specifications
Operate power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and grinders safely and effectively
Perform roofing tasks by installing or repairing roof frameworks using appropriate materials and methods
Conduct heavy lifting of construction materials while adhering to safety protocols
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or structural components
Assist with masonry work when required to support structural integrity or aesthetic finishes
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar carpentry role within construction or renovation settings is essential
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry tasks
Strong understanding of mechanical principles relevant to construction work
Skilled in roofing installation and repair methods
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics
Valid driver's license with experience in commercial driving preferred for site transportation needs
Familiarity with masonry work is advantageous but not mandatory
Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving abilities
A minimum of 6 years of site experience is required, and you must be able to conduct all joinery tasks on your own, including roofs.
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
