Are you passionate aboutsafeguarding and making a positive difference in the lives of children andyoung people? We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate DeputyDesignated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to join our team and play a key role inensuring the safety, wellbeing and success of our pupils. This role willsupport the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in delivering effectivesafeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school and will actas the lead safeguarding professional in the absence of the DSL
Aim andmain purpose of the role:
- • Support the management ofsafeguarding and child protection concerns.
- • Make referrals to external agenciesand coordinate support where required.
- • Maintain accurate and confidentialsafeguarding records.
- • Provide safeguarding advice andguidance to colleagues.
- • Work collaboratively with familiesand external professionals.
- • Attend safeguarding and multi-agencymeetings.
- • Support safeguarding audits,monitoring and reporting activities.
- • Promote pupil voice and ensurechildren feel listened to and supported.
- • Support safeguarding training andawareness across the school.
- • Act as the Designated SafeguardingLead in the absence of the DSL.
