You will be responsible for mechanical and electrical engineering and maintenance support for our production activity on site.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conduct the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM)
- Varied work on modern packing, grain processing, milling and beverage production equipment
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair
- Ensure effective running, maximum uptime & minimal downtime for all our internal customers
- Ensure that site PM and legal checks are completed in the agreed timescales
- Ensure H&S processes are being followed
- Ensure that all work is carried out to meet current legislative standards
- Ensure all parts that are required are requested/ordered in a timely manner, with particular attention to essential items/longer lead times
- Propose and implement site production improvements
- Any other tasks that may reasonably be required by colleagues
Skills and experience:
- Ideally possess a mechanical/electrical qualification or relevant experience
- Experience of working on modern food manufacturing equipment including SCADA screens and HMI screens
- Able to identify faults, especially in PLC control and instrumentation
- Experience on steam pipe work is an advantage
- Boiler room BOAS Certification is an advantage
- Demonstrable experience on HVAC and chiller
- Effective communications skills at all levels
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Adaptable team player
This is a 40-hour-per-week role, typically Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm.
