About The Role

Glean is looking for a Senior Director, EMEA Marketing, based in London, UK, to own the end‐to‐end regional marketing strategy across EMEA, from brand and awareness to pipeline generation and expansion. This role is responsible for the full EMEA marketing portfolio: integrated campaigns, digital and paid, field and strategic events, partner marketing, and customer marketing motions that drive both new business and expansion. You are proactive and dynamic, and you are comfortable representing your company as a spokesperson/evangelist whenever it is required. You will partner closely with EMEA sales leadership and global marketing leads to set the strategy, build the plan, manage the regional marketing team (including field marketing), and hit ambitious pipeline and revenue goals for the region.

Below is a partial representation of what may be included in the Senior Director, EMEA Marketing scope of responsibilities:

  • Own the integrated EMEA marketing strategy and plan
  • Define the annual and quarterly EMEA marketing plan aligned to regional ARR, pipeline, and segment targets.
  • Localize global positioning, narratives, and campaigns for priority EMEA markets (e.g., UKI, DACH, Benelux, Nordics, France).
  • Decide the right marketing mix (digital, field, partner, strategic events, comms, customer marketing) for each priority country/segment, partnering closely with the global marketing leads for each function.
  • Be accountable for regional pipeline, revenue, and ROI
  • Own EMEA marketing‐sourced and marketing+partner‐sourced pipeline goals and ROI targets across all channels.
  • Partner with Marketing Ops and Sales Ops to build and maintain dashboards for EMEA performance, including pipeline, conversion, and influenced revenue.
  • Continuously evaluate channel performance and shift budget toward the highest‐impact programs.
  • Lead the in‐region marketing team
  • Directly manage and coach EMEA marketers (e.g., Head of EMEA Field Marketing, specialists, and/or digital/demand resources as hired).
  • Set clear objectives, operating rhythms, and standards for program excellence and follow‐through.
  • Foster a high‐trust, high‐accountability culture with tight alignment to the EMEA sales organization.
  • Drive integrated campaigns and digital demand in‐region
  • Partner with global Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Digital teams to plan and execute integrated campaigns tailored to EMEA buyer needs and regulations.
  • Shape and prioritize EMEA‐specific digital investments (paid search, paid social, ABM, web, content syndication) that complement field and partner activities.
  • Ensure strong orchestration between digital campaigns and field/BDR follow‐up to maximize conversion.
  • Elevate Glean's brand and thought leadership in EMEA
  • Work with Communications, Thought Leadership, and Strategic Events to secure the right mix of strategic conferences, executive forums, and speaking opportunities in EMEA.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing to turn regional customers into advocates and speakers across events, content, and reference programs.
  • Ensure consistent, localized storytelling across all EMEA touchpoints (events, website, campaigns, sales enablement).
  • Scale field and partner marketing as levers—not the whole motion
  • Provide direction and guardrails for EMEA Field Marketing plans so that events and experiences ladder up to the broader regional strategy.
  • Collaborate with Partner Marketing and EMEA partner sales on joint campaigns, strategic events, and MDF‐backed programs that drive incremental pipeline.
  • Operate as the connective tissue across GTM in EMEA
  • Partner closely with EMEA sales leadership, Sales Development, Customer Success, and Partnerships to ensure clear shared goals and program alignment.
  • Champion the voice of the EMEA customer and market back into global Marketing, Product, and Sales.
  • Build simple, repeatable mechanisms for surfacing field feedback and turning learnings into program improvements.

About You

  • 10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, with significant time in regional or international marketing leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of owning regional pipeline and revenue outcomes, not just channel metrics.
  • Experience managing and scaling in‐region teams, ideally including field/event marketers and digital/demand roles.
  • Strong understanding of the EMEA enterprise landscape, including key markets, buyer personas, and regulatory considerations.
  • Highly data‐driven: you understand funnel and pipeline analytics, ROI, and how to use data to rebalance investments.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‐on levels—equally happy in a board‐level pipeline review and in the weeds of a country launch plan.
  • Excellent cross‐functional collaborator who can build trust with Sales, SDR, CS, Partnerships, and global Marketing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Startup mindset: bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to experiment, learn, and iterate quickly.
