Purpose To ensure that the Welding area personnel adhere to the company quality and safety procedures, whilst producing quality products in full and on time Responsibilities Coordinate the production of frames through the welding area, ensuring all orders are complete on time and in full * Attend regular production meetings with all team leaders to ascertain any issues that will affect the production plan * Ensure the Production Management Team is aware of any issues that will affect the ability to meet the production plan * Ensure that areas under your control are adhering to safety and quality procedures * Daily, ensure the production load lists are updated so that a real time picture of current production status is available * Highlight potential improvements to production areas to improve safety and performance * Attend weekly meetings with Production Management to discuss status and future workload * Report any near misses and potential safety breaches * Ensure good housekeeping is in place with safe, tidy areas of work implemented and maintained * Carry out a weekly stock take of material and advise stores and purchasing of any possible shortages * Responsible for monitoring and reducing reworks within the area * Contribute to reduction of all production RW’s * Overall responsibility for quality of products produced within the area * Monitor and report on both team and individual output performance * Conduct yearly appraisal with team members and Production Management * Coach and develop staff within area of control, assist other Team Leaders with the same * Promote cross training to contribute to flexible workforce Metrics * Overall output per m2 * Team output * RW rates Hours of Work: Full-time- 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours a day from 07:30 am to 3:30pm Pay: Up to Β£16.50 depending on experience.
