Glaze Aluminium Facades is a specialist façade and building-envelope contractor delivering high-performance solutions across the UK. Our capabilities include curtain walling, architectural aluminium and steel window and door systems, rainscreen cladding, access solutions, and Steel Framing System (SFS) infill. We work across major commercial and residential developments, delivering façade packages valued at up to £15 million.
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Liverpool. The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account, helping to maintain profitability, contractual compliance, and effective cost control.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing project costs, budgets, cash flow, and commercial performance
- Preparing measurements, valuations, and Bills of Quantities
- Reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Preparing and submitting applications for payment
- Assessing variations, compensation events, and contractual entitlements
- Producing accurate cost reports and financial forecasts
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payment recommendations
- Supporting contract reviews, risk assessments, and commercial decisions
- Liaising with clients, project managers, designers, suppliers, and site teams
- Supporting the agreement and settlement of project final accounts
- Contributing to the continued development of the company’s commercial procedures
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in cost control, cost management, and commercial reporting
- Experience preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, measurements, and valuations
- The ability to produce accurate cost plans, forecasts, and project reports
- Good knowledge of standard construction contracts and commercial procedures
- Strong numerical, analytical, and Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- An organised, proactive approach to managing multiple projects and deadlines
- A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Previous experience within façades, cladding, glazing, or the wider building-envelope sector would be highly advantageous.
