Overview
At GSK’s flagship manufacturing site at Ware (Hertfordshire) we are looking for a Product Performance Lead to manage a team responsible for the local delivery of the technical lifecycle plan.
The role sits within the site’s Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) department and reports to the Site MSAT Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage product performance for all active substances and commercial products at the Ware site.
- Respond to technical issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions (CAPA) within agreed timelines.
- Lead and develop a team of approximately four Product Owners, ensuring high performance, motivation, and alignment with safety, quality, and GPS principles.
- Drive product and process improvement initiatives to enhance performance, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Co‑lead the global PTLTs and support the delivery of the Technical Lifecycle Plan (TLCP) owned by Molecule Stewards.
- Collaborate across GSC and R&D to translate product control strategies into shop‑floor actions.
- Promote and enforce technical standards and GSK Production System (GPS) across the site.
- Maintain and improve systems for tracking, trending, and analysing product and process performance, leveraging digital technologies.
- Manage talent development, succession planning and capability building within the MSAT team, supporting graduate and placement programmes.
- Ensure compliance with c GMP, global regulatory requirements, and H&S processes for all reports and operations.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in managing complex technical manufacturing scenarios.
- Degree level qualification in a Scientific, Technical or Engineering discipline.
- Strong technical knowledge gained in a highly‑regulated industry.
- Demonstrated people‑management skills, resilience under pressure and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
- Proven ability to drive performance and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Experience implementing lean methodology and change management.
- Strong communication skills.
