This role will preferably be based at GSK HQ, UK but can be based in the US East Coast or Poland as well. The Source-to-Pay Global Experience Owner is a strategic leader responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing the end-to-end Source-to-Pay experience for internal stakeholders and external suppliers. This role ensures seamless, efficient and user-centric processes across sourcing, procurement, invoicing, and payment activities on a global scale. By aligning people, processes, and technology, the Source-to-Pay Global Experience Owner drives operational excellence, enhances stakeholder satisfaction, and delivers consistent value across the procurement lifecycle.
The role acts as a central point of contact and accountability for global source-to-pay experience standards, partnering with Procurement, Finance, Tech, and Business Units to implement scalable, compliant, and digitally enabled solutions that support both enterprise goals and user needs. The Source-to-Pay Global Experience Owner is a new enterprise role that will preserve the benefits of closer ways of working in Finance and Procurement into the future. It will report to the VP, Strategy, Global CoE Procurement.
In this role you will:
- Own and define the north star vision and ambition for the Source-to-Pay experience, in collaboration with the Procurement COE and Finance P2P team.
- Envision and design the solution roadmap and the strategy for the Source-to-Pay areas, ensuring alignment with the Finance and Procurement Experience outcomes and the enterprise priorities.
- Define the end-to-end process for the Source-to-Pay areas, including defining process measurement, influencing policy, controls, and continuous improvement.
- Design and optimize user journeys for stakeholders including business owners, requesters, procurement category managers, suppliers and finance operators and leaders.
- Drive continuous improvement in user experience improvements and system usability.
- Champion the use of AI (Agentic AI, ML etc.) to drive automation and intelligent workflows to improve the outcomes for business users.
- Create business cases to demonstrate the “why” and business case for changes and how they should be prioritized competing for funding and resources.
- Act as the business owner for Source-to-Pay solutions, working closely with the Tech team to shape solution requirements, delivering product roadmaps, and oversee solution delivery and testing.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelors Degree — preferred discipline in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement [or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience].
- Extensive experience in Procurement, Finance, or Business Process Ownership, with a focus on service delivery optimization in processes and systems solutions.
- Demonstrable track record of deploying procurement-focused experiences and solutions.
- Deep knowledge of Source-to-Pay platforms and ERP systems.
- Clear understanding of AI opportunities to optimize the procurement experience.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering complex and large-scale procurement transformation and change initiatives, with a focus on procurement experience and business value.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to interact, influence, and manage multiple and varied business contacts, both internal and external, often with different requirements and goals.
- Experience of managing people/teams in large matrix organisation.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Relevant Qualification in Procurement (CPP, CIPS, MPICS).
- Excellent skills in process design, governance, improvement, and standardization, using lean six sigma, human-centered design, and change management methodologies.
- Agile methodology and mindset (Agile-qualified preferred).
- Strong skills in technology strategy, solution design and delivery, and data stewardship, with a deep understanding of the current and emerging procurement technologies and trends.
- Strong skills in project management, prioritization, budgeting, and resource allocation, with the ability to deliver at pace and with agility.
- Strong skills in data and analytics, with the ability to use data to drive insights, decisions, and actions.
