Overview
The Ware R&D pilot plant, co-located with GSKβs Global Supply Chain manufacturing site, is a Centre of Excellence in the development and manufacturing of oral solid dose and inhaled drug products. The Ware pilot plant New Product Introduction team leads the planning, preparation, and execution oversight for all manufacturing campaigns within the pilot plant. The team is also accountable for the clinical trial manufacture and release of all oral solid dose and inhaled drug products supplied to clinical studies from GSK R&D and Global Supply Chain sites.
Role Responsibilities
- Accountable for a portfolio of products, developing and maintaining manufacturing plans based on development programme requirements.
- Lead a matrix team to define, prepare, and execute manufacturing campaigns.
- Collaborate with drug development, supply chain, and pilot plant operations teams to strategize manufacturing plans.
- Author batch records and establish expertise in GMP batch documentation.
- Coordinate quality agreements and batch release for clinical drug supplies.
- Support pilot plant operations, reacting promptly to manufacturing events.
- Facilitate engineering and validation projects within the pilot plant.
- Serve as liaison between drug development teams and pilot plant operations.
- Manage stakeholders across various departments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Science or extensive experience in pharmaceutical development or manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with cGMP regulations.
- Experience leading matrix teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in change management.
