You will lead a global health outcomes function within ViiV Healthcare at GSK. You will design and deliver robust evidence generation to support development, access, reimbursement and lifecycle management of HIV treatment and prevention medicines. You will work across research and development, medical affairs, market access, commercial and external stakeholders to shape fit-for-purpose evidence plans. This role requires strong scientific judgement, strategic leadership and the ability to operate in a complex matrix environment to ensure ViiV’s medicines are supported by credible, decision‑relevant evidence that optimizes patient access and value demonstration. You will also shape a forward‑looking Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) and Patient‑Centered Outcomes (PCO) portfolio strategy, ensuring differentiated endpoints are embedded early in development to demonstrate meaningful patient, clinical and healthcare system value.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Global Health Outcomes Team for our pipeline assets, providing scientific and strategic direction across the portfolio and leading a team of at least one direct report.
- Define the integrated evidence strategy, including patient‑focused outcomes and clinical outcomes assessment strategy, economic models and real‑world evidence aligned to regulatory, payer and other stakeholder needs.
- Represent value evidence in cross‑functional integrated evidence teams and decision forums to influence development and launch decisions.
- Define and lead a portfolio‑level Clinical Outcomes Assessment strategy, ensuring alignment with disease‐area needs, regulatory expectations and payer evidence requirements.
- Drive the identification and integration of differentiated endpoints to strengthen value propositions across assets.
- Guide the development and use of fit‑for‑purpose instruments and endpoint frameworks, supporting consistency and scalability across the HIV portfolio.
- Partner with patient outcomes, clinical development, medical affairs and market access to translate strategy into study design, endpoints and evidence plans.
- Engage external stakeholders (payers, HTA bodies, guideline groups and academic partners) to ensure evidence meets decision‑maker needs.
- Oversee quality, compliance, budget and delivery of health outcomes and real‑world evidence studies across the product lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in health outcomes, health economics, epidemiology, pharmacy, public health or a related discipline.
- Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in health outcomes, real‑world evidence or value evidence roles.
- Line management experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting reimbursement or HTA submissions across multiple markets.
- Proven ability leading cross‑functional teams and working in complex matrix organisations.
- Strong scientific judgement in study design, patient‑reported outcomes and evidence synthesis.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including ability to translate data into strategic insights and business impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or other advanced research degree in a relevant discipline.
- Direct experience with global launches and above‑country evidence strategy.
- Strong expertise in economic modelling and budget‑impact analysis.
- Track record of peer‑reviewed publications or scientific leadership.
- Prior experience engaging with HTA agencies, guideline committees or payers.
- Experience managing external vendors and large multi‑country studies.
