Healthcare Professional Engagement (HCPE) through expert led meetings is a key channel for the GSK Oncology team to support us to achieve our commercial strategy. As External Events Brand Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career in a dynamic team on a priority brand. You will act as co-lead for planning, content development and customer centric execution of HCPE activities through a cross-functional team.

In this role you will:

  • Work collaboratively with external expert manager to deliver national webinars and HCP events with a focus on cultivating strong external expert relationships with top KOLs.
  • Accountable for developing an impactful congress and event plan for Gynae Oncology.
  • Work with field-based teams and National sales director to drive excellence in local HCPE execution across face-to-face, hybrid and virtual events.
  • Support delivery of local meetings led by the field-based sales team.
  • Leverage internal and external expertise (including external national experts) to develop highly engaging and educational content, in order to deliver industry leading events in oncology.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance customer experience through consideration of HCP journey from invitation through to post-event follow up.
  • Identify insights from inside and outside of GSK and maintain a continuous improvement mindset to introduce new ways of working and technologies.
  • Be accountable for all event execution being in-line with the relevant governance frameworks (ABPI code, SOPs etc), and identifying areas of continuous improvement within those governance frameworks to support optimal customer experience.
  • Develop clear metrics to measure success with a test and learn mindset to apply to future activities.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience operating within commercial or brand teams in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a clear understanding of how external engagement activities support brand strategy, customer engagement, and business objectives.
  • Proven experience contributing to or delivering content and activities as part of an integrated omnichannel strategy, ensuring consistency of messaging across channels and alignment with brand strategic pillars.
  • Good working knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice, with experience applying it in day‑to‑day activities to ensure compliant interactions with healthcare professionals and external experts.
  • Strong understanding of operating within a highly regulated environment, with the ability to follow and apply internal policies, SOPs, and governance requirements to ensure compliant delivery of all activities and events.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, such as healthcare professionals, cross‑functional partners and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities and timelines in parallel, prioritise effectively, and ensure high‑quality execution of meetings and events from planning through to follow‑up.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability, with the capability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and ways of working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience analysing and applying data insights to assess event effectiveness, such as attendee lists, in‑event polling, post‑event survey feedback, HCP metrics, or Net Promoter Scores, and translating these insights into actionable recommendations for brand teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with medical and other cross‑functional partners to ensure activities are aligned, compliant, and delivered in line with shared objectives.
  • Strong understanding of how external engagement activities contribute to commercial outcomes, with the ability to think strategically about impact, value, and return on investment.
  • Prior experience working within oncology or a specialist therapy area, with an understanding of the unique customer landscape and complexities associated with engaging highly specialised healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with internal stakeholders and external experts, influence without authority, and tailor communication style to different audiences.
  • Experience supporting or delivering healthcare professional meetings and events across virtual and in‑person formats, including planning, execution, and post‑event follow‑up.
