We manufacture and supply reliable, high-quality medicines and vaccines to meet patients’ needs and drive our performance. Our network of 37 medicines and vaccine manufacturing sites delivered 1.7 billion packs of medicines and 409 million vaccine doses in 2024 to help make a positive impact on the health of millions of people. Our supply chain is vital to bringing our innovations to patients as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible. You will provide process engineering expertise to support safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing at a GSK site in the United Kingdom. You will work with operations, maintenance, automation, quality and EHS teams to solve technical issues, drive process improvements and support capital projects. Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering support to manufacturing operations and capital projects, from design input to commissioning.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues on plant, working with operations and cross‑functional teams.
- Develop and test control software changes and support automation commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Define and monitor critical process parameters and support product control strategies and performance monitoring.
- Lead safety review activities and contribute to process safety assessments and risk controls.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and deliver sustainable solutions through change control.
Basic Qualification
- BEng or MEng in chemical, process, mechanical or related engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Practical experience in process support, commissioning or project delivery.
- Knowledge of process safety principles and participation in safety studies (for example HAZOP).
- Ability to work on‑plant and in the office, with clear hands‑on troubleshooting skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience with process control systems and plant software (for example DeltaV or similar).
- Prior work in pharmaceutical, food or chemical manufacturing with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) awareness.
- Experience of process plant commissioning and testing.
- Track record of delivering continuous improvement or capacity enhancement projects.
- Professional registration or working toward chartership (for example CEng) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with technical change control and engineering documentation best practice.
