Global Supply Chain Planning Director - Biopharm and Steriles

18 Months Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

Are you looking for a highly visible supply chain leadership role that allows you to accelerate efficiency and global product delivery? If so, this Supply Planning Director role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As Supply Planning Director, you will manage/lead/be responsible for leading end to end supply chain at a regional level in the 0-3-year horizon to ensure product availability, optimizing inventory and cost, and ensuring business continuity through supply chain risk assessments and risk mitigation. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career.

These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead a team of supply chain planning professionals across multiple geographies, setting clear direction and ensuring appropriate capabilities are developed across the team.
  • Accountable for ensuring that an end-to-end optimised supply plan is in place across all assets (internal and external) in the therapy subset over the 24-month planning horizon from raw materials through to point of sale (ex-GSK).
  • Evaluate scenarios for key supply chain planning decisions ensuring that the fiscal impact analysis is robust to drive responsive decision making through the CCC cycle.
  • Accountable for delivery of service targets for the therapy subset, resolving and escalating key issues through the SCIM (Supply Chain Issue Management) process as appropriate.
  • Accountable for setting global inventory policies for all brands within their therapy subset aligned to corporate working capital targets and ensuring these are executed.
  • Drive performance management across the therapy subset to ensure adherence to service and inventory targets are met, putting effective root cause analysis in place for non-adherence and appropriate corrective actions to recover performance that is off track.
  • Collaborate with site and regional leadership teams to develop initiatives that continuously improve the supply chain and have a direct impact on service, cost and cash targets.
  • Identify and manage key supply chain risks for the therapy subset, putting in place mitigation plans and escalating appropriately through franchise RMCB.
  • Collaborate with the franchise strategy teams to move key programmes from strategy into execution including network and sourcing changes.
  • Leverage the long-range forecast to drive robust planning in the 24 – 36-month horizon for primary and secondary sites.
  • Collaborate with commercial franchise leads and site leadership teams to align volume/value plans over the 24-month planning horizon as an input to the annual financial budgeting process for the given therapy.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in supply chain delivery
  • Experienced in leadership and development of a team of planners
  • Experience developing Supply Chain processes and supporting systems in a global regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or master’s degree in supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of import/export to the region
  • Strong relationship management building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
