Role purpose
As Director, Global Corporate Policy & Advocacy, you will shape the policy environment needed to enable sustainable access to GSK’s Global Health innovations in lower-income countries. You will develop and deliver high-impact policy, partnership and advocacy strategies across Global Health, access, pricing and intellectual property. You will translate external policy, political and geopolitical insight into clear positions, practical recommendations and engagement plans. You will strengthen GSK’s external voice and enterprise policy impact by building strategic relationships, delivering targeted advocacy and thought leadership, and leading credible engagement with governments, multilateral organisations, IFPMA and other priority stakeholders. You will help advance GSK Global Health’s ambition to change the trajectory of high-burden infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis and malaria.
This is an opportunity to shape high-profile policy and advocacy work with visible impact across GSK. You will work with senior leaders and external partners on issues that influence access, innovation and sustainable health outcomes, while developing your expertise across Global Health and corporate policy.
Key activities
Lead the development and delivery of integrated global policy strategies and advocacy plans that advance GSK’s Global Health and other enterprise priorities. Develop enterprise policy positions on access to pharmaceutical innovation, pricing and intellectual property, informed by horizon scanning and robust external insight. Build influential relationships and coalitions with governments, multilateral organisations, industry associations, and other stakeholders. Use these partnerships to advance shared policy priorities, identify opportunities for collaboration and strengthen GSK’s voice on priority global issues. Create and implement strategic engagement plans, secure and equip senior leaders for key engagement opportunities, and provide compelling briefings and follow-up action plans. Represent GSK in priority global health, access, disease-focused and industry coalitions, working groups and steering committees, including IFPMA. Coordinate across internal functions to deliver aligned, compliant and impact-focused advocacy, supported by high-quality policy materials.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals Bachelor’s degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in public policy, public health, health policy, international development, political science or a related discipline. Significant experience in global health policy, public affairs, government affairs or advocacy within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or international development sectors. A strong record of leading policy and advocacy strategies that have delivered measurable outcomes across access to medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, prevention tools, health systems or related areas. You will also bring a strong understanding of how intellectual property, innovation incentives, affordability and sustainable financing shape access in lower-income settings. Deep understanding of global health, access and intellectual property policy, with excellent judgement on pharmaceutical industry dynamics and the external policy environment. Established networks across the global health ecosystem and a proven ability to build productive partnerships with governments, multilateral organisations, trade associations and other stakeholders. You can influence complex stakeholder groups and advise and brief senior leaders with credibility and sound judgement. Excellent strategic, analytical, communication and delivery skills, including the ability to use AI tools effectively, translate complex issues into clear, practical actions and work across global matrix organisations with integrity and accountability.
