As a Platform Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain robust platforms that support GSK’s mission to improve lives.
Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of process equipment and plant areas.
- Deliver engineering activities (maintenance, improvement and projects) in collaboration with Planning, Capital Projects and Business Unit teams, leading technicians or contractors when required.
- Develop and deliver Continuous Improvement (CI) for safety, quality and waste cost in the SBU.
- Ensure root cause and problem solving are conducted, implementing corrective and preventive actions, including deviation and PMDE investigations.
- Provide clear leadership and development to front‑line staff, sharing knowledge to upskill engineers and production operations staff.
- Lead Machinery Safety, Process Safety and Data Integrity (DI) audit activities in SBU engineering.
Basic Qualifications
- HNC in Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrable engineering competence with deep technical understanding of key processes and equipment such as sterilisers, aseptic filling technology and manufacturing equipment.
- Significant experience working in cGMP or other highly regulated operational engineering or project delivery teams.
- Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems using tools such as DMAIC.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold an HND or degree in an engineering discipline (or working towards).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
- Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.
