Position Summary
You will support engineering activities that keep our sites safe, reliable and efficient.
You will work with engineers, technicians and contractors to deliver maintenance, small projects and compliance tasks. We value practical problem solving, clear communication and a curious mindset. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Provide technical support for day‑to‑day electrical maintenance and fault finding on site equipment.
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and ensure equipment records are accurate.
- Support small capital projects from planning through handover, including risk assessments and test documentation.
- Help manage engineering change control activities and keep equipment documentation inspection‑ready.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to investigate deviations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to safety and compliance activities, following procedures and supporting audits and inspections.
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Level 3 electrical qualification (for example NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance or apprenticeship background in electrical engineering.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems, control panels and motors.
- Basic understanding of safety requirements for electrical work and permit-to-work systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English for clear handovers and documentation.
- Willingness to work safely on site and to participate in on‑call or shift patterns if required.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- HNC/HND or foundation degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Experience working in regulated or quality‑controlled environments.
- Familiarity with engineering change control and document management systems.
- Basic experience with PLCs, instrumentation or process control systems.
- Experience supporting small capital projects or plant modifications.
- Demonstrable continuous improvement mindset and practical problem‑solving skills.
