Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on retail store premises, including carpentry work, painting, plumbing, and minor electrical tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of store facilities to identify and address maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from store managers and staff, and prioritise tasks based on urgency.
• Assist with the installation and assembly of fixtures, shelving units, signage, and other store equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with brand and store managers as well as other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise disruption to store operations.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, and materials purchased (with receipts for all as well as any other relevant documentation).
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and customers.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in general building maintenance and carpentry, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
• Some experience with electrical work is highly desirable, although not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability to accommodate varying work schedules and project timelines.
• Valid driver\’s licence and access to reliable transportation for travel between store locations.
• Ability to provide own tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
