We’re looking for a Bookkeeper to support our finance operations.
The Bookkeeper will perform Glassworks London’s day to day administrative finance management primarily focused on keeping Xero accurate and up to date as well as the company’s budget and cash flow forecast. The candidate will be a strong Xero user – comfortable connecting feeds and reconciling bank feeds as well as sales and purchase invoices.
Responsibilities
- Perform bank reconciliation for UK accounts and one Korean account (mainly supplier purchase reconciliations) ensuring precise entries by nominal code to run accurate P&Ls for each channel.
- Perform sales reconciliation for all channels and cash reconciliation for all retail stores including safe counts.
- Keep 13 week cash flow forecast up to date.
- Perform weekly/bi‑weekly payment runs.
- Update the monthly budget forecast with actual figures and report budget usage to ordering managers.
- Ad hoc administrative support including prompt resolution of incorrect invoicing and pending refunds/credits.
- Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns (a plus, not required).
- Negotiate key operating contracts alongside management team as contract reviews arise (utilities, telecoms, insurance, merchant services).
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience is required, preferably in ecommerce or retail (Shopify experience is a plus).
- Xero expertise is required and experience with Shopify and Xero related forecasting software is a plus.
- Highly organised and self‑motivated with a true desire to keep the books and reporting tidy and up to date.
- Excellent administrative skills, attention to details and written/verbal communication skills to clearly communicate with the team and suppliers.
