We are recruiting for Female Support Workers for our service based in Liskeard. Are you experienced in working with individuals who have a Learning Disability and Complex needs? We are searching for a team of highly skilled and passionate individuals to assist someone in embarking on a new chapter in their life. This role is both demanding and incredibly fulfilling, as you will play a crucial part in helping this person strive for their best life.

Your responsibilities will encompass supporting them in participating in all the activities they find enjoyable, while fostering their independence to the fullest extent. Possessing a valid driver's license will be advantageous. We can guarantee that no day is ever the same, but you'll work alongside a group of dedicated individuals who care deeply about their work, the people they support, and their colleagues. As a Support Worker, you'll play a meaningful role in:

  • Supporting and enabling the People We Support to live their best life, whilst delivering person-centred care, unique to each individual.
  • Using your knowledge, skills, and adherence to legislation, best practices, and our policies and procedures to deliver the highest quality care.
  • Engaging with the people we support to contribute to the development and maintenance of their relationships and connections within their local community.
  • Completing and maintaining Support Plans and other necessary information that supports our people and ensures the delivery of effective support.
  • Notifying the Team Leader/Senior Support Worker of any changes you observe in the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Safeguarding the welfare of those in our care and actively promoting and maintaining their safety.
  • Helping the people we support to maintain and develop relationships with family, friends, and other important people in their life.
