Glassmoon Services Ltd has exciting opportunities for a Team Leader at our new service in St. Austell, Cornwall. The successful candidate will deliver a combination of direct support and management time, which varies depending on the needs of the Service. As a Team Leader, you will lead and support the people we support to build confidence, resilience and express themselves in positive ways. You will support and enable the People We Support to maintain skills and personal interests, whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual, aligned with our person-led support delivery model.

You will provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the support and direction of Glassmoon Services. You will supervise the service(s) allocated to you within Glassmoon Services Ltd in accordance with agreed standards. You will maintain your skills at a current level, engage with learning and development as required from time to time to progress knowledge. You will carry out required safety processes and risk assessments. We are Bild and Restraint Reduction Network Community of Practice members, and strive for best practice in all that we do for individuals we support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Service Manager to ensure individuals within our care are enabled to live their best lives, including building confidence, resilience and supporting individuals to express themselves in positive ways, while delivering person-centred care aligned with our person-led support delivery model.
  • Provide leadership to the care team within Glassmoon Services Ltd.
  • Provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the support and direction of Glassmoon Services.
  • Supervise the service(s) you are allocated to within Glassmoon Services Ltd in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Support and enable the People We Support to maintain skills and personal interests, whilst delivering person-centred care aligned with our person-led support delivery model.
  • Maintain skills at a current level and engage with learning and development as required to maintain and progress knowledge.
  • Carry out the completion of required systems and process around safety, weekly and monthly checks and documents within the service, including completion of risk assessments.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with at least one year's experience after completion of Level 3; willingness to work towards Leader in adult care, Level 5.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Checks.
  • References.
