Founded in London, in 2010, Glassworks is a fresh London fashion brand – totally independent, style-obsessed and passionate believers in bricks-and-mortar boutiques as well as streamlined digital shopping. Our design-led stores and website are refreshed weekly with small runs of completely new fashion – meaning a constant feed of exciting new stuff to try on, helped along by the most dedicated and on it staff-turned-stylists on the planet. With the recent re-launch of our ecommerce site and first retail opening outside of London, we are focused on scaling our existing channels whilst pursuing additional store openings. THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented Fashion Buying Assistant to support our buying and merchandising team. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for retail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to stay highly organised whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will be responsible for assisting with all day-to-day buying administrative tasks, preparing reporting packs for all product related teams, and ensuring smooth operations within the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fashion industry and be a confident user of Excel and cloud-based platforms. Knowledge of Korean is a plus but not required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can contribute to key areas of the buying process. RESPONSIBILITIES Create reporting packs for the design and buying/merchandising teams to support the seasonal buy cycle and weekly range reviews. Attend weekly buying reviews and translate all notes into highly accurate purchase orders. Manage new SKU creation including product naming, pricing and product attribute selection. Maintain the in-house cloud-based product information management system of existing SKUs, ensuring all product attributes are accurate and supporting the Ecommerce Manager with attribute management (including SEO-optimized descriptions) as required. Oversee purchase order communication with the Korean production team, ensuring seamless workflow and timely updates. Conduct thorough inspections of new product designs to verify product names/descriptions and maintain database accuracy. Assist in compiling and distributing internal seasonal trend forecasts to inform buying decisions. Request, track, and organize swatches and samples, ensuring the sample library remains well-structured and easily accessible. Update price architecture by category on a bi-annual basis, ensuring adjustments align with market trends and business objectives. JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in a fashion-related subject and a minimum of one year’s experience working in the fashion industry is required, preferably in a buying department or retail environment. You must have a keen understanding of current fashion trends to support the senior team in trend reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required as well as some experience using cloud-based computer systems. You must be an honest, hard-working self-starter with great organisational and administrative skills and a keen eye for detail. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication to liaise between internal teams and external suppliers. Proficiency in Korean is a plus for liaising with our production team in Korea but is not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
