JOB OPPORTUNITY – HEAD OF SALES & MARKETING, MODPLAN
Location: Modplan HQ – Newport Gwent (Majority Office-Based)

About Us: Modplan is a leading trade fabricator within the fenestration industry, known for our extensive product offer and commitment to excellence. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Sales and Marketing to spearhead the development of our trade business. This role will also involve secondary responsibilities in liaising with our Scandinavian Division.
Role Overview: Reporting to The Managing Director, The Head of Sales & Marketing will play a critical role in driving the growth of our trade business. You will lead both the internal and external sales teams whilst working closely with our external marketing partners to execute strategies that boost market presence and revenue. Additionally, you will liaise with our Scandinavian division (primarily via teams), aligning trade efforts with broader company goals.
We are looking for somebody who wants the autonomy to create & execute a growth strategy. We have a roster of agency staff, and systems in place that need to be lead and refined to meet our customers changing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Sales & Marketing teams at Modplan focusing on developing and expanding the trade business.
- Develop and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth in the trade sector.
- Collaborate with the external marketing agency to enhance brand visibility and support sales initiatives.
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer need to refine and adjust strategies.
- Provide secondary support to the Scandinavia Division, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of strategies.
- Report regularly to senior management on the performance of the trade business and marketing initiatives.
- Manage budgets, resources and team performance to maximise efficiency and ROI.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all sales and marketing activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior sales and marketing role, with a strong background in the fenestration industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing trade business, with a solid understanding of trade markets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
- Experience working with external marketing agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Familiarity with the Scandinavian market and fenestration industry trends is advantageous but not essential.
