An opportunity exists for a Works Controller (Lighting) who will manage and develop a team of Electrical Supervisors, Electricians and civil operatives, and will liaise with the Roads Lighting Technical teams.
The Works Controller will be responsible for:
- Statutory road works noticing
- The management of financial management both internal and external expenditure
- Vehicle and plant management
- Absence management and disciplinary procedures
Other duties include ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, the risk-based approach of the Code of Practice and method statements, and training policy. Manage Highway Infrastructure/apparatus, Roads Safety Inspection and Repair Policy, SRWR noticing and the technical requirements of the Transport Bill.
It is essential that the applicant has a HNC / HND.
