Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Training Instructor to join our Training Team on a permanent basis.
NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details
Duties include the design, delivery, development, implementation and evaluation of training modules; and to provide instruction, assessment, and, where relevant, verification on courses to agreed standards and quality procedures.
Applicants will work within various environments both indoors and outdoors. Key areas of operation could include delivery of SVQ\’s, induction, customer care, and machinery.
An HNC level qualification in Land Based/Waste Environment/Sustainability, or equivalent; along with an appropriate verifier/assessor award in area of operation (L&D11 A1, D32/33, or L&D9); a CPCS/NPORS Operators card; and a current driving licence are essential requirements for this role.
Holding an appropriate HND, or equivalent, qualification in an industry specific area; a First Aid Certification; NEBOSH or IOSH managing safely award; DCPC Card; and an HAUC qualification are desirable.

Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday
Annual Salary: £34,922.19 – £40,664.91 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,091 and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127 per year.
