An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Technician to join our Transport Project Delivery team. Reporting to the Group Manager - Transport Project Delivery you will work on planning, designing and delivering parking controls, traffic management and transport infrastructure improvement schemes across the city in line with the Council’s Strategic Plan.
You must have previous experience within a Roads, Parking and Traffic environment and a knowledge of related legislation and the statutory process for Traffic Regulation Orders. A minimum of an HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline, good communication skills, proficient IT skills and a current UK driving licence are essential. It is also essential to be proficient in using 2D AutoCAD.
Please note that if invited to interview, there will be an AutoCAD test lasting approximately 10 minutes which will form part of the interview scoring process. Further details regarding what this role entails, and key competencies required are noted within the Person Specification document.
