An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Technician to join our Lighting team on a permanent basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.
Position Details
You will be an operational team member responsible for the development, installation, maintenance and monitoring of the City’s Street Lighting Network to meet service targets and enforce compliance with electrical regulations or SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering demonstrating qualifying criteria for Technician Electrician or Approved Electrician status. Additionally, you must have a BS7671:2018 IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition and a valid Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card supported with Health and Safety Assessment Certificate, or the ability to achieve these within 1 year of appointment. You should also have a sound working knowledge of current Wiring Regulations, Technical Standards and Codes of Practice to electrical distribution and be able to support budgetary control and monitor performance against targets.

- Weekly Hours: 35 per week
- Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
- Annual Salary: £36,319.27 - £42,291.40 on an incremental scale
