An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Project Officer to join our Spatial Strategy team on a 2-year fixed term basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services. Position Details

Based within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability, the Project Officer will support a Principal Officer to deliver a number of place-based regeneration preprogrammes and projects in the city’s neighbourhoods. The postholder will ensure that funded works are properly managed and raise additional funding to ensure that the requirements are met in terms of developments delivered and fully realise all required outcomes of relevant programmes and the City Development Plan.

You should have a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in relevant discipline, project management, planning, building surveying, architecture and previous experience of programme management in a place-making and Planning context, including project appraisal and financial management skills. You will have previous experience of effective project planning & management (preferably capital investment or physical regeneration) and ability to manage projects from inception to completion. You should have previous experience of project monitoring and evaluation / benefits realisation and of commissioning work from consultants and external parties.

Contract Details

  • Weekly Hours: 35 per week
  • Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
  • Annual Salary: £45,495.33 - £52,944.70 on an incremental scale.
