Based within the Corporate Procurement team in the Chief Executive’s Department and reporting to a Procurement Officer, you will undertake a broad range of procurement activities covering Goods, Services and Works. The role of Procurement Officer Assistant includes the delivery of end to end tendering processes across a variety of commodities within the Council’s portfolio. This will involve a range of procurement routes, including Mini Competitions, Direct Awards, and Regulated and Above Threshold procurement exercises.
You will provide professional public sector procurement advice and guidance to suppliers, internal client departments, colleagues and external stakeholders, while delivering a high quality, customer focused service. Hybrid working is available for this role, with part of the working week based from home and part based at the City Chambers building in Glasgow City Centre.
Only candidates with demonstrable experience of delivering procurement activity within the public or private sector will be considered.
