Job Description

Glasgow City Council (GCC) is the largest local authority in Scotland, with over 30,000 employees across the Glasgow family who provide residents with a diverse range of services. Working in either our Financial Services or Chief Executive\’s Department, you will support our Assessors and Electoral Registration Office or our Economic Development team. These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to gain administration, customer service, and business experience.

Providing excellent customer service is a priority, and we aim to ensure all customers are treated in a friendly, polite, and professional manner. You will also provide administrative support, assisting with various tasks in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clerical and administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, responding to emails, answering calls, and inputting data into databases with accuracy.
  • Use IT systems and applications to process requests and log information.
  • Work towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) while gaining practical experience.
  • Deliver high standards of customer service to all users of our services.

Eligibility

This vacancy is available to:

  • 16-19-year-olds
  • 20-29-year-olds with a disability
  • 20-29-year-olds who are care experienced
