The opportunity to become a member of the Flood Risk Management team helping to deliver climate resilience and the Metropolitan Glasgow Strategic Drainage Partnership (MGSDP) vision to benefit Glasgow's residents and businesses. The role will be varied including assisting:
- design and delivery of flood risk management capital projects with a focus on blue-green infrastructure;
- preparation of Surface Water Management Plans including technical analysis of the outcomes to define further work streams;
- peer review of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Impact Assessments submitted in support of planning applications.
The post holder will be working in a multi-agency environment alongside other Council Services, Scottish Water, SEPA, MGSDP partners and the Clyde and Loch Lomond Local Plan District Responsible Authorities. The post holder will also support the work of the wider Flood Risk Management team and report to the Assistant Group Manager.
