Job Description An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a (ASL) to join our Transport Services team on a permanent basis. NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services. Position Details Our Drivers (ASL) are responsible for the safe transportation of passengers and goods to and from both Education and Social Services establishments. It is therefore essential that applicants have knowledge of traffic regulations and of the City of Glasgow areas and street names, along with good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Previous experience of transporting passengers is desirable. Further details regarding what this role entails are noted within the Role Profile for the post, whilst the Person Specification document confirms the key competencies you are required to demonstrate in your application. A full current PSV vehicle driving licence which is Category D and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence is an essential requirement of this role. As part of the pre-employment check process, successful candidates will also have to satisfactorily complete a driver’s assessment. Contract Details Weekly Hours: 37 hours per week plus 3.5 hours contractual overtime Work Pattern: Monday to Friday Annual Salary: £24,183.81 – £25,716.37 on an incremental scale Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual payment of £3,734.60 – £3,964.55 for the 3.5 hours per week contractual overtime; a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £1,305 per annum; and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £714 per annum.
