Are you an experienced Early Years professional looking for the next step in your career? We’re seeking an enthusiastic and confident Head of Nursery for a 52 week position in Glasgow’s Southside. As an employer, we will support you to inspire the development and learning of our youngest learners and equip you to manage a well-established, friendly and successful nursery.
About the Role:
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management and leadership of the nursery and have responsibility for the effective delivery of the service. Specifically, you will lead the setting and showcasing of best practice, ensuring the development of nursery team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overarching responsibility for the effective management and delivery of an inclusive and diverse early years’ service.
- Lead, develop and support a team to ensure the needs of the children and the service are met, including the collegiate practice and teamwork across the setting.
- Ensure high quality delivery and development of the curriculum to raise attainment within the setting, supporting the nursery management team and other team members.
- Analysis of service delivery, proactively planning for future needs and changes in line with local and national requirements.
- Liaise, co-ordinate and partner with other establishments and stakeholders to improve outcomes and develop strategies which support family wellbeing and learning.
- Support the wellbeing of children, parents/carers and nursery team members.
What We Seek:
- Confident, highly motivated, with strong relationship-management skills and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership and influencing qualities at senior level.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of children’s curriculum, learning and development at early level.
- Commitment to supporting inclusion and diversity with awareness of current relevant legislation.
- BA Childhood Practice or equivalent qualification is essential.
What We Offer:
- Annual Salary of £55,388.20 - £64,300.11 per annum.
- 35 hours per week to be worked flexibly on a rota basis between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
- 26 days paid annual leave, rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service.
- Plus 12.5 days paid public holidays each year.
