Overview

Glasgow City Council is seeking a reliable and detail- oriented clerical officer to join our busy Customer and Business Services mailroom team. The successful candidate will support the day to day operation of incoming and outgoing mail services in the Document Management Unit (DMU).

The successful candidate will be responsible for scanning and digitally indexing, mainly revenue and benefit mail and documents, to citizen and business accounts held on our core computer systems. Additional responsibilities include support with various clerical tasks as and when required, photocopying and data entry.

Comprehensive training and supervisory support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Scan and digitally index mail and documents, primarily related to revenue and benefits, for citizen and business accounts on core computer systems.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as required, including photocopying and data entry.
  • Support day-to-day mailroom operations within the Document Management Unit (DMU).
