About the Role The Assistant Data Analyst is a key member of the Performance and Innovation Team within City Building, supporting the delivery of high-quality management information to inform business objectives, performance monitoring and decision-making.

Working closely with the Data Analyst and Head of Performance and Innovation, the postholder will assist in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of management information, reporting processes and supporting documentation.

This role involves analysing and interpreting business data, identifying trends and insights, and contributing to performance reporting against key organisational objectives.

The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of services by ensuring the provision of accurate, meaningful and timely information that meets business needs and supports continuous improvement across the organisation.

What You Will Bring You will have strong numeracy and data interpretation skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, building positive working relationships and contributing effectively as part of a team.

You will demonstrate an understanding of the development agenda facing City Building and will carry out your work with honesty, integrity and professionalism.

You will be self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, use your own initiative and manage competing priorities effectively.

You will also be able to perform well under pressure, delivering high-quality work and meeting demanding deadlines.

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, such as Statistics, Computing Science or Business Systems, or have significant equivalent experience in a data analysis role.

You will have experience of working with large volumes of complex data and using reporting and analytical tools such as Business Objects, Excel, SQL and Power BI to support business performance and decision-making.

Knowledge of reporting procedures, legislative requirements and best practice within a complex business environment would be advantageous.
