Applications are invited for an IT Infrastructure Manager , in the IT Department .
This is a key operational and technical leadership role responsible for the day-to-day delivery, maintenance and support of GSA’s networks, systems and technical infrastructure.
Working closely with the IT Solutions Architect, you will lead the Infrastructure team and help ensure that GSA’s networks, servers, storage and cloud environments remain secure, resilient and effective.
As a hands-on technical leader, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of on-premise data centres, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks and cloud services, while providing senior-level technical support and troubleshooting.
You will play an important role in operational cyber security, vulnerability management, patching, disaster recovery and business continuity, and will act as a key escalation point for major infrastructure incidents.
You will also provide line management and development for the Infrastructure team, managing workloads and priorities while supporting high performance, staff wellbeing and professional development.
Alongside operational delivery, you will manage supplier relationships, contribute to infrastructure projects and support continuous improvement across GSA’s IT services.
You will bring demonstrable experience of managing and developing a technical delivery team alongside strong hands-on experience of Microsoft infrastructure, O365/Azure cloud platforms, virtualisation and Cisco networking technologies.
You will also have operational cyber security experience and excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
Cisco networking and relevant Microsoft infrastructure accreditation are required.
