Older People’s Residential and Day Service operate 5 large care homes, and 10 day centres for older adults across Glasgow City. The services are purpose-built centres which support older adults to live meaningful lives within their local community with the central aim of providing residents and service users with care and support appropriate to their personal outcomes.

The role of Senior Officer seeks to support the improvement, development, and innovation of these services to ensure that they meet and exceed the regulatory expectations of registered care services. The post holder will hold a key role in supporting a centralised team who lead on improvement as well as performance monitoring and projects within the care homes and day centres and will contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and quality assurance systems.

The Senior Officer should be a strong communicator with analytical skills and the ability to collaborate closely with others to reach positive outcomes. Experience in using improvement methodologies would be an advantage in this role.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended). Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
