Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 4 LES Operative 2s to join our Neighbourhood Clean Team on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Duties will involve assisting with the delivery of a range of tasks covering the general maintenance of highways, properties, open spaces, inland waterways, and parks. You will also assist higher graded operatives / tradesmen with more skilled work.

Good communication skills, an ability to deal with the public and work within a team are essential. Previous experience of labouring and operating equipment is advantageous although full training will be provided. The location is city-wide, and candidates must be prepared to work at any Depot location as required.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place from week commencing 14 April 2025.

Weekly Hours: 37 per week

Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm; and Friday, 8am – 3:30pm inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break each day.

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £1,357 plus an annual working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,172.
