To help us achieve that, we are looking for a Health and Wellbeing Activity Coach to join our Physical Activity Team.

What you need to know- Hours: 16 per week. Ability to work on a flexible shift pattern across 3 or 4 days per week. Availability will be confirmed at interview, and the candidate should also have some availability for evening and weekend work.
- Contract type: Fixed Term until 31.03.2027
- Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £15.27 per hour.
- Location: City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview.
As a Health and Wellbeing Activity Coach, you’ll be a part of the Physical Activity team, reporting to the Sport and Physical Activity Officer. The role of Health and Wellbeing Activity Coach will contribute to the work of the wider Physical Activity Team to support people who are currently inactive into physical activity. This role will focus on the practical delivery of physical activity sessions within our wellbeing programmes to improve health and wellbeing and encourage people into ongoing activity. You’ll play an essential role in the delivery of Move Well, supporting the facilitation of community-based wellbeing programmes which combine informative workshops and introductory physical activity sessions.

- Previous experience of supporting individuals with long term conditions to be active.
- A relevant qualification in sport, physical activity or health and fitness.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills that can build relationships and trust with individuals and groups.
- Ability to plan and deliver activities that engage people that are not currently active.
- A flexible, can-do approach to work and be able to work comfortably in non-traditional settings and with individuals facing a variety of challenges.
