An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Cleaner Quality Controllers to join Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (GCHSCP) Community Equipment Service, which operates on behalf of multiple local authorities throughout Scotland and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS; the UK’s largest provider of assistive technology equipment.
Reporting directly to the Recycling Supervisor, the main duties and responsibilities will include handling and cleaning recycled equipment returned from clients, using associated mechanical and powered washing/cleaning/drying equipment. You will be responsible for the unloading and checking of all items for recycling received from Technicians and Drivers, ensuring that all paperwork/electronic entries are completed properly and accurately.
Other duties include ensuring infection control policies are in force and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations are adhered to at all times, and maintaining the safety and containment of infectious or hazardous waste/equipment.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and ensure performance targets are achieved, whilst working on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
