Overview
Yoker Medical Centre is a friendly and supportive, forward-thinking Practice of approximately 5,000 patients, with good transport links through active travel, road, and rail.
We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time junior Practice Nurse to join our existing clinical team of 2 GP Partners, Salaried GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Senior Practice Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy
- Injections
- BP monitoring
- Cervical Smears
- Contraceptive Pill Checks
- Urine Specimen Testing
- Cryotherapy
- Chronic Disease Monitoring and Management (Hypertension, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease) alongside our senior practice nurse
Requirements / Qualifications
- Enthusiastic part-time junior Practice Nurse
- Skills and experience in cervical screening and chronic disease management are beneficial but not essential, as training in these areas will be provided
- Willing to develop new skills, be a fast learner, be confident in working autonomously in areas of growing competence, and a strong communicator and team player
- Salary will be dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills
Training
Unless already completed, the successful candidate will be expected to secure a place on the next available NES GPN Education Pathway (https://www.scotlanddeanery.nhs.scot/your-development/general-practice-nursing/general-practice-nursing-education-pathway/).
