Overview
We are looking to recruit a dedicated enthusiastic GP locum to join our friendly supportive team at Townhead Health Centre in Glasgow Royal Infirmary Queen Elizabeth Building, off Alexandra Parade. The practice operates with 6 doctors and an experienced admin/reception team. There is support within the practice with HCAs and Practice Nurse activity. We have an on-site treatment room and Heath Visitor colleagues for support along with District Nurse provision. There is also a pharmacy team of 3 (pharmacists and technicians) and full-time Welfare Rights and Community Link workers. We are attached to Glasgow University and take third year medical students as well as some other student projects. We are an EMIS practice using the Docman clinical system and have an exceptionally low house visit rate. We prioritise the well-being of our team and encourage a sustainable work/life balance. The practice’s location within the Royal Infirmary allows for a varied approach to GP careers, including dovetailing with sessional posts in the Royal Infirmary. We hold weekly practice meetings and are committed to improving patient care and our working day arrangements.

We are a warm, welcoming and friendly practice with an excellent administrative team and a forward-thinking approach. The team includes support staff across medical, nursing, and allied roles, with established partnerships with university colleagues and student programs.
