Glasgow Life is looking for Football Coaches to join us on a permanent part time basis at evenings and weekends, working as part of our staff bank you will have the flexibility to work on an as‑needed basis. As Football Coach you will be joining our in‑demand Football Development and Participation programme. You will be part of a dedicated team which supports the growth of the game in Glasgow.
Salary: This is a Grade 3 role which equates to an hourly rate of £14.37 per hour.
Location: Our city‑wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations across Glasgow.
Hours: Bank contract. You will join our pool of staff and be contacted when shifts become available, allowing you to manage your work around other commitments (e.g. Tuesday, 6‑8pm and/or Sunday, 8.45‑11.45am).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high‑level football coaching sessions, following a curriculum appropriate to the ability of the participants between the ages of 18 months and adult.
- Attend Coach Development In‑Services to support you as a coach.
- Support the delivery of various local and national events.
- Work with key stakeholders to support the growth of football in Glasgow.
- Evaluate and implement new and existing football development programmes.
Qualifications:
- Scottish FA – 1.1 Introduction to Coaching (Walking Football Coaches Only)
- Scottish FA – 1.2 Children’s Coaching Certificate
- Availability to work across weekday evenings and weekends, particularly mornings (e.g. Tuesday, 6‑8pm and/or Sunday, 8.45‑11.45am)
- Proven track record of coaching football and experience working with a variety of age groups.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, positive attitude, a flexible approach, confidence, and a professional manner.
