Glasgow Life is looking for Sport and Physical Activity Coaches to join us on a part time, fixed term contract for a period up to 6 months. As a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you will be joining our Community Sport team, delivering a variety of multi-sports activity sessions and pop up events across the city, at both indoor and outdoor locations.

The role

Glasgow Life is looking for Sport and Physical Activity Coaches to join us on a part time, fixed term contract for a period up to 6 months. As a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you will be joining our Community Sport team, delivering a variety of multi-sports activity sessions and pop up events across the city, at both indoor and outdoor locations.

The role

As a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you’ll be an integral part of the team delivering a variety of multi-sports activity sessions and pop up events across the city, at both indoor and outdoor locations.

Reporting to Sport and Physical Activity Officers and working alongside a new team of coaches.

The candidate

If you’re interested in joining us as a Sport and Physical Activity Coach you’ll need:

• A relevant qualification in sport, play, physical activity, health & fitness or sports coaching

• Experience of working with either clubs or community groups in a sport & physical activity environment

• Good communication skills and ability to adapt provision for service users

• Motivated and innovative person with relevant coaching experience

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations.

This role is working daytime, evenings and weekends for the duration of the contract with a particular focus around school holidays.

For Fixed Term Roles – If offer is made to internal employee (Glasgow Life or Council Family), at the end of the temporary period, eligible employees, if agreed will have a right to return to a role at their substantive grade within the council family.
