Overview

We\\\’re looking for a Project & Service Development Officer to join Glasgow Sport\\\’s Commercial & Development Team on a 3 year, full time, fixed term contract. You\\\’ll be part of a team which positively shapes a portfolio of world-renowned sport, cultural and community venues. Interested? Then keep reading below.

The Project & Service Development Officer role is full of complex challenges and exciting possibilities. You\\\’ll operate in an agile environment, which embraces change and new thinking through public engagement, design, and service delivery.

We are recruiting someone who will grasp this challenge and assist in how we redefine our estate. On top of that, continue to deliver excellent projects and programmes for the people of Glasgow and the visitors to the city.

You\\\’ll be an essential part of the Commercial & Development Team who support our frontline services. The Project & Service Development Officer will lead, and project manage on the operational delivery strategy in the approaching launch of the new Baillieston Community Hub. The team is also central to the brief writing, business case development and project delivery required as part of the informed client role which Glasgow Life delivers on behalf of Glasgow City Council.

The Commercial & Development Team is a core part of Glasgow Sport, playing your part in encouraging people to live an active Glasgow life. Through sport and physical activity, we promote inclusion and wellbeing throughout the city. From Glasgow Club to our Learn to Swim programmes, the services we provide allow people to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in sports at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Experience in delivering results and collaborative working within project management, economic development, or a capital development-related context.
  • Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
  • A relevant qualification with experience in either capital, construction or economic development projects.
